The Amount of 10-Year Treasuries Needed to Generate $100,000 of Annual Income

– The average yield on the 10-year Treasury over the last 50 years has been just over 6.4%.

– Today, with a 10-year yield of 2.99%, an investor would need to hold $3.3 million in Treasuries to generate $100,000 of income per year.
